Areas of Practice

Katherine N. Batycky has a background in both litigation and family law. Katherine dedicates most of her time to her family law clients in order to provide them with the support they need to reach a fair resolution.

Biography

Katherine was called on the Ontario Bar in 1980 after attending the University of Winnipeg and McGill University. She moved to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories for a year to work as an associate lawyer in a law firm practicing in litigation, criminal and family law. Katherine returned to Ontario in 1981 where she practiced law in the Hamilton area before becoming staff lawyer for the C.A.W. Legal Services Plan in Oakville, Ontario from 1988-1994. Katherine decided to scale back her practice while raising her three children and has been working as a part time associate lawyer at Kyle & van der Steen LLP since January, 2005. She looks forward to expanding her practice in the near future.
